The Photo Week makes a rare midweek appearance in lieu of a busy weekend, so, enjoy! Consider this a follow up from a few weeks ago introducing the Carter Fields Rookery, the great blue heron chicks have hatched and can be seen in various states of chickdom popping their heads up and flopping about the nests. Take your binoculars and go check em out!

Had a great few visits this week to the Great Blue Heron Rookery at Carter Fields in North Andover. The birds are actively building nests, in the next few weeks it’ll be a fun prehistoric sight with big creatures flying to and fro to feed their nesting brood. Check it out in slide show set to music
